A Quick Note About Our New Name
My Heritage Photo is now Herrmann Funeral Photography.
Same service. Same photographer. New name.
The old name caused confusion with the genealogy company MyHeritage, and it didn't clearly communicate that we specialize in funeral photography. The new name fixes both problems.
Everything else stays the same.
Why I Started Photographing Funerals
Hi, I’m Christoph!
When my father died unexpectedly 20 years ago, his funeral was filled with people from every part of his life. His years as a pastor had touched hundreds of families.
Nobody photographed any of it.
The chapel. The flowers. The stories people shared about him. The embraces. After 20 years, I've lost most of it.
Now I'm a father myself, and I want to show my kids who their grandfather was, not just tell them. I wish I had a memorial album we could sit down with together. I wish I had photos of the people who loved him, the stories they told, the way the chapel looked.
But I don't.
That's why I do this work. So other families don't lose what I lost.
