When my father unexpectedly died over 20 years ago, his funeral was filled with people from every part of his life. His years as a pastor had touched countless families.
Nobody photographed any of it.
The chapel. The flowers. The people who shared stories about him. The embraces. After 20 years, I don’t remember most of it.
Now I'm a father myself, and I want to show my kids who their grandfather was, not just tell them. I wish I had an album we could look through together. I wish I had photos of the people who loved him, of how they remembered him, and of the way the chapel looked.
But I don't.
That's why I do this work. So other families don't lose what I lost.

Every image I create is meant to document something you'll want later: the people, the details, the moments, the evidence that your loved one's life mattered.
